Boston Luxury Market Data

by Mike DelRose Team

With many of the Greater Boston real estate markets becoming "Luxury Markets" by default. It's important to analyze the data and see where the money is flowing. While some will argue the effects of "trickle down" economics, there's no dobut that sales in high price bands impact the local real estate market.

The following graphs of the Boston Luxury Market indicate a healthy market in Boston, and with demand the way it is, it is no surprise to see prices continuing to increase.

The charts below show the 7-day and 90-day rolling averages for list pricedays on market, and inventory for the metro area's luxury market (e.g. top 10 zips with median prices above $500k). Our date is provided by the Institute For Luxury Home Marketing and Altos Research

For baby boomers that purchased in Greater Boston during the 1980's and 1990's, it would be jaw-dropping as to the amount of families that are now considered affluent based on the towns they happened to pick and the subsequent boom in the market prior to the recession, and the booming market we are in currently.
